EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Sports
As part of our holistic approach, sport plays an essential role in the life of
our disabled learners. Sport aids rehabilitation of the physically disabled; orientation
and mobility for the visually impaired; physical development and enjoyment for
all.
Activities include:
Hokker, goalball, wheelchair basketball, table tennis, field and track, soccer,
netball, cross country.
Sports successes:
· 150 students were part of the KZN Provincial team competing at the annual South Africa Championships for the Disabled;
· two students played on the National Table Tennis team on the international level
in England and Australia;
· 10 students completed the NYC marathon.

Culture
Children enjoy song, dance, drama, and gospel choir. A culture day is held twice
a year.
IT
Centre
Thanks to the Achilles Track Club and the Telkom Foundation, our school is equipped
with a small computer center with internet access, allowing students to interact
with the wider world via the web.
Media Centre/Library
Our well-equipped media centre and library has a variety of braille and large
print material. A weekly awareness programme in the centre provides stimulating
activity for the students.
